S/R deflector, to remove or keep?
S/R deflector, to remove or keep?
Looking for opinions of the S/R deflector. Those who have removed it, why? Cosmetic, or for function? Does having it off let more air in (I'm assuming this is a YES).
I've been on the fence about removing mine, I'm more of a tilt up guy as oppossed to complete slide back and I don't feel any air coming in. Years ago I had an '87 Max w/S/R, but that's been years ago, and haven't owned another vehicle since with a S/R until now.
Overall, I'm looking for a nudge, one way or another.

If you like they way it looks on your car then keep it. If you don't like the way it looks on the car then remove it. Based on your own statement quoted above....that's what it has come down to.
Personally, I like the way they look....seems more "sporty" with it on. Also, you need to crack a window slightly, or even set the venting to allow outside air instead of re-circulating the cabin air....this will allow more air to flow in from the sunroof.
Im thinking w/o the S/R deflector you are also gonna have alot more wind noise with roof tilted up.
