Please Check This Diagnosis

Pulled codes 1320 and 0306. Car sputtering badly at idle. Replaced coil packs and plugs. Somewhat of an improvment but still rough at idle and SES still on.
Take to local mechanic. He swaps #6 coil with #2 coil and swaps plug #6 with #4. Code clears, car runs great and even the CD player which was on the blink, starts to work again.
Can anyone explain this logic? Please believe me, I am not making this up.

Intermittent electrical problem maybe if the CD player thing wasn't just a coincidence?

However, I have heard of cases where a bad coil pack is more 'severe' on the later cylinders, can't really back that up with any hard data though.

Could have also been a botched install the first time around?

Like Professor said though, it's still weird.
