So i'm getting a system today from a friend of mine, However i have the bose cut out (lucky i know) and am resenting it. Another friend of mine has a after market head unit in his car (maxima non bose) and offered to trade h/u if the cut out only works on bose systems.

Question- If i trade my stock for his aftermarket h/u, will he have bose cut out as well?

the cut out is in the headunit, so whichever the car the headunit goes into, it's gonna cut out.

 

kk, i know it's in the head unit, however i wasn't sure if that certain part of the head unit was only for bose or not.

To add, you also cannot put a Bose HU into a non-Bose car.

 

Thnx, i just got a 7900 and a system. No more need for bose like many on here reccomended.

Yes that bose sux...he will have similar problems too...I am not an audio expert either..just i had a terrible time with that bose
