Anyone else has this problem in the Heat

Car: Maxima 2000 GLE (Fully loaded)

My dam seats get to dam HOT and I already sweat as it is.

Question
Has anyone ever put covers over there seat because of this reason? If so which ones did you get and from where. Any pics? Did it help?

I know its a weird post lol.

Thanks

My seat gets hot so I bought some covers from walmart.
I found them in the pharmacy section, think they are called Always with wings

If it bothers you so, buy tints or a windshield cover to put on your dash

Tint= all problems solved:P and if u dont wanna tint your front window, i didnt, but you could always just buy those refflectors u put up once ur in park. Leaves ur car 50* cooler

I already tinted my car since day one, but its coming from the front.

Now I do have a reflector at home which never really thought about that, weird.

Thanks Guys

Install a starter and cool your car before you enter. You could also put a beach towel over the seat so the sun isn't directly on the leather, rather than one of those cheesy window things.

Tint will reduce the direct sunlight but increase the humidity inside the cabin. Your best bet from Seat burn is like mentioned Seat covers

How does it do that? Just by cooler temps?

How is this possible??

The only way to get moisture in the car is to introduce it. Running the A/C dehumidifies the interior.

I always park in the shade, or at least point the car so that the sun isn't facing my front seats...

I'd NEVER put a cover on my seats except a towel coming back from the beach.

The the towel would most likely be moist, and cause an increase in RH

But depending on the season, my car gets backed in, or opposite, depending on which is more comfortable (temp) when I get in it.

I agree with tint, I have had tint on my car for 5 years, its never a problem unless it illegal, but there are so many benefits from using tint, a cooler interior is one of them!

Tinted windows help a LOT. But also a GOOD windshield reflector.

I have the "soft" one for the Maxima and the "hard" one for my MR2. Both work great. Soft is "easier" to work with and both are custom measures for the shape of the windshield. I would highly recommend.

Tint + OEM Sunshade (fitted for windshield) and you'll be fine. Seat covers look terrible.

Those windshield sun-shades really do work... although I'm looking at mine right now outside my office window, and thinking the fitment is kind of sloppy.

Have you looked at the Covercraft custom fit?

I will just stick with my tint and my reflector.

like he said window tint, and get a sunshade. They sell custom fitted sunshades for our maximas on lots of nissan websites like mynismo.com for $30 that are high quality and do a good job. they match the size of your windshield exactly.

Leather FTW. Those cloth seats are nasty hot. Since I've got leather, I've had no problems. I roll down the windows a few mins before I leave and then I'm good once the AC is running.
