Its a knock sensor no anti in it. And if the ks was acting up it would be helping the knock not causing it. when the ks is faulty it makes the ecu go to the "safe map" causing it to retard timing there fore helping the knock.

Are you sure its a knock and not you timing chain rattling? are you throwing any codes??

No codes thrown yet and i doubt its the timing chain....but now that u mention it i might look into it.....i had the car checkd out about yr or so ago and the dealer (nisan service) said the timing chain is good ...

sounds like a pre-detonation knock but its hard to tell for sure without being there to hear it first hand or without a video.

You should be using 91 or greater octane fuel this is more than likely the cause of the knocking

I agree with this. I would throw in some premium and try that first

Also just cause your timing chain is good doesnt mean that tensioner is not. Timing chains rarely fail, tensioners are a diffrent story(least on the vq30's)

also what are the condition of your plugs and what kind?

Plugs wouldnt be a bad idea either. Or at least check the gap of them to ensure they are in spec. Even if new plugs wouldnt fix the problem its just preventive maintaince

I been dealing with this issues for almost 7 months now, i replaced everything , When it work i came across a repair order for a similar issue on a car, turns out the fuel pressure was below spec and causing the bad pinging and eventually lean codes, which i have now, so ive concluded that its the fuel pump, iam going to replace it and if it still does it, i give up.
