Has anyone ever had any problem with 5th gear? I actually have a 5th gear crunch. The ONLY 2 ways to avoid it is to either put it into 5th with somewhat pushing the stick as far left as possible, it's hard to explain.. Or letting the rpm die back to idle than rev match back into 5th. Its an 02 6mt btw if no one picked it up already Any advice or questions are welcomeeeeee

My pants is too loose around my "waist" and buying the wrong Amsoil for my gearbox was a "waste" of money.

My pants "ARE" too loose, and shirt "IS" too tight.
We all make mistakes. And yes, i did bring this post back just to say that.
Thanks, I found my problem..

let me tell you about my situation.. i bought the car at 49k with no 3rd gear crunch, and i put in amsoil.. i had done racing (track) and it was fine... after i got my headers installed, i noticed at times that 3rd gear would get stuck at WOT and would not go in gear unless you try 2 or 3 times.. then i developed a 3rd gear crunch consistently during normal driving.. then a 4th gear crunch only at certain times.. then one day 3rd gear would not go into gear during normal driving at times.. 2 days later, the same thing happened with 2nd gear.. then the next day, my pressure plate and clutch went to hell and consequently so did my tranny.. leaving me stranded in neutral unable to get into any gear around 80k.. moral of the story is: other gears crunching doesn't NECESSARILY mean your transmission is going bad, but i would be prepared if i were you.. and BEWARE if you can't get the stick into gear

lol your story is actually the story that made me post this thread to begin with. After reading up on your tranny getting shot in 30k i figured i might as well try to post this up and see if i have anything to worry about. Hopefully my tranny is far from dying. Thnx for the advice.
As for now, mt90 today. After that I don't think there's anymore i can except not slam my clutch and ram my shift into each gear.

yeah.. well also, i don't know what was done to the transmission/clutch the first 49k miles of its life before i bought the car, so who knows how much abuse it encountered before i even got to it.. but yeah, no problem.. good luck man
