Ok, so I was pulling out one of my exhaust tips that someone kicked in or something, and i heard a crack from somewhere along the exhaust line and now I'm getting a funny noise in the middle of the line somewhere.... I wasn't pulling all that hard on the tip, but it could have been really rusty or something and broken somewhere... I know it's going to be hard for anyone to tell from this description what happened, but any suggestions would be helpful. Like has anyone done anything similar, or does anyone know where a weak point might be and what could have cracked? I'm thinking I might have an exhaust leak somewhere now just judging from the noise... ... gyeahh!!

 

since u were pulling on the tip you probbaly made a whole in the muffler and thats were you noise is coming from i wuld guess

 

Not really that many other places that could have cracked? Is any part of your exhaust extremely rusted through?

Turn your car on, have someone rev it in neutral while you get under the car and try to pinpoint the leak/break? Thats all I got

 

could be the famous crappy squish bend in the b pipe

 

or the pipe-> muffler seam.
