Fog light Rewire Problem?

Did the Foglight rewire thing to my 03. I had my brother do it since he did it to all his maxima's and worked great. he finished. i test them out. fogs dont come on....And one Hid (passenger) doesnt work? my bro went and looked at his maxima and he did nothing wrong. so he PUt it back to normal so Everything is back to normal. but what could cause that?

It was most probably the wrong wire he touched. Is his max a 02-03?

That shiftice write-up is fantastic... lots of great info there. But it took me a couple of re-reads to realize he was trying to differentiate between 5th gen and 5.5 gen in the same write-up. It was a little confusing, and the wire photos weren't totally clear.

You must have tapped the fog relay into the wrong wire. I just did this rewire a few weeks ago, and I love it because now I'm actually using my fogs along with my running lights when it's daylight but overcast.

This whole "fog rewire" conversation dipped into MIK3's amber fog light thread, and he posted this great picture about how to properly splice the wire.

I know this thread is a couple days old...but I did the exact same thing on my car . I figured it out though, the wires were the right ones but me being in a hurry and overlooking a big thing I ended up hooking the blue/silver dot wire from the car to the red/green/silver wire ...exact same thing my passenger side H.I.D and the foglights where both off when I had the parking lights on and then when I turned all the way both of the headlights came on and the foglights remained off...And then when I hooked it up to another wire...don't remember off hand the power to the headlights was constant...like as soon as I touched the wires the headlights came on. Just thought I would share incase anyone else has this problem it's because you hooked up the wrong side of the wire...As soon as I hooked up the relay side of the wire it worked perfect
