OEM keyless remote isnt working

i got an OEM remote from some one off this site but i cannot get it to sink up with my car as a second keyless remote. I have followed the steps but isnt working. Has any one added a second remote with no issues ?

Yes, perhaps you need to clear it first? Maybe remove the battery. There might be a way to clear it and then sync.

compare the fcc id number on the back of the two key fobs. the new one has to be the same as your original if it is the correct one.

taking the battery out of a key fob is the closest thing to resetting a key fob.

as i read the original post again, a question. You said the new remote does nor work as the second. Does it work as the first? If it does, does your original remote work as the second? If the answer to 'does it work as the first" is yes, then you have a programming proceedural problem.

Are you programming both remotes at the same time and you just can't get the second one to "work"?

If that's the case, I would try programming each individually and rule out a bad/faulty/low-battery/wrong remote.
