I just did a 2k to 2k2 interior swap. The 2k2 interior did not have side airbags. Now my airbag light is constantly blinking. Is there a way to trick the computer into thinking the side airbags are still connected?

 

Why don't you simply install the air bag module from the car without side bags? It should have one less electrical connection. The harness on your car will have an extra connector, which you will leave unplugged.

The problem should be solved. The new one won't be searching for the missing components. I have done this before with success.

 

Why would you want to lose your side air bags though? Damn things could save your life or family members life someday.
