Ok I was searching through the forums and didnt find anything helpful. 01 Max... when lowering the front windows, they only go down about 5/6 of the way (similar to where the rear windows go down to). Is this a track problem on the regulator? Its annoying to have the windows only go down that far. Please help.

I had a similar problem with my passenger side front window. I sprayed WD-40 along the outside window down through the weather stripping along the entire window. It start working really good, just like new. I believe the window is sticking thus binding causing the motor to heat up and probably might fail. If you try it, please let me know who it goes.

 

i had a girl come in with her power windows doin that and it turned out her bf put speakers in for her bday the day before and they were too deep . obstructing the tracks!!

 

My 2001 AE has OEM speakers in the doors.....

 

that makes sense! I had put in new speakers in there when i bought the car since they were out. Ill have to look into that. Thanks!!!

 

While you are checking the speaker to window clearance, can you share if there is a metal only or combination metal and plastic window track system.
