gas thieving rant

So this morning I noticed my gas door was slightly popped out from the top. Some dumb**** tried to get at my gas. Recently I have been putting regular gas due to prices; I know premium is better. Anyhow, I managed to delicately push in the gas door so that it looks almost like how it used to; still doesn't look right. F***!

Where do you live??

Didn't realize things were getting that bad.

That really sucks. Not only was he getting the gas, but messing up the car which is unforgivable.

I'd leave the cover open and sit with a bat waiting...

I would invest in a locking gas cap if you're worried.

Also, around here, premium is $.30 more than regular. A difference of $5 for the car to run better is worth it to me

That sux man, I had one of the tanks emptied on my pick truck back when gas was $4 gallon right in front of my house.
Ever try and siphon gas out of a 5th gen max? Dam near impossible because the filler neck is almost 5 feet long. Just be glad they didn't tear the door off in spite.

it burns longer too, so it really breaks about even besides.

and a locking gas cap wont stop them from still trying to pry open the door, thats the only thing

I am thinking that the would be thieves thought that the car might have premium gas in it, or maybe they just wanted any type of gas. anyhow, I put a locking gas cap on already. I have a feeling someone did this while I was parked at work. I live a decent neighborhood so its less likely that this occurred there (while it was parked in my driveway)... unless of course some kids with nothing better else to do needed some gas for their gas powered scooters; I heard/saw a couple of them other day. damit!

Fuel cell in the spare tire well, with all your gas in that.

Then fill up the regular fuel tank with something nasty, maybe like bleach or water or soap or sugar or apple juice and leave the door unlatched.

Problem solved.
