I bought some MOOG rod ends and tie rod ends for the front suspension of my 2003. There is grease in the grease port where the check valve goes but none in the boot. Do I need to add more?

Never a bad thing to add grease. I have installed without adding additional grease without issue.

 

Any recommendation as to grease? I bought a mini grease gun and some of the generic coastal grease from vatozone.

About 45 minutes from me, I live in Pennington.

Got the new ones pressed in no problem. The check valves on the other hand are either cross threading or don't screw in very far. Are they designed to have about 2 turns of thread showing or am I cross threading them?

 

They don't need a whole lot of threads, 2 is fine.

Hey I got a cheap grease gun & some coastal grease too once I put my Moog stuff in (tie rods, tie rod ends, swaybar end links, swaybar lca bushings). Been going crazy with it...all I need now are some Moog balljoints & bushings & if they made 'em, struts, and can say I have a Mooged suspension. But I still have this damn tramlining/bump steer/alignment issue!

 

My car bumpsteers badly also but I've yet to replace the worn struts or get an alignment. The vibration issue persists but it's not as bad as before. And the car drives much better now. Ridin, you might have something that is slightly bent. Maybe replace the LCAs?

One more step and hopefully I can put this problem to rest.
