Installed - BRAND NEW Cattman Y-pipe.

Installed the pipe - great fitment. Install was a pain but nothing to do with the production of the y-pipe. It was due to the rusty studs on my cat and precats. The O2 sensor needed to be extended about 4-5in because the stock pipe has a U shape angle going closer to the front of the car. Cattmans does not - which allows for better flow. I am throwing no codes.

The throttle response is better, my sound has improved, the car seems quicker above 3500rpm (I have the VIAS plate) I will be getting a dyno soon, and I have a baseline to compare.

I will post up a video soon. Thanks again Cattman!

The cattman y-pipe was my missing link, making the most out of the intake and cat-back.

  • Intake alone: small gain, mostly noise. Fun toy.
  • Intake and cat-back: slightly more gain, raspy tone.
  • Intake and cat-back and y-pipe: lots of gain, deeper tone.

Glad you're happy. Catts sells quality exhaust parts.

good to hear, def understand. When i put mine in the time it took was mostly just burning the rusted nuts off the old and removing it.

He is shipping the rest of ours this week. Not sure if I'm going to keep mine or not. Anybody (maybe) want to buy a brand new Cattman 5.5 y-pipe?

I thought there wasnt much gain with the y pipe on the 5.5 gens. If there is and this is because of the new design I might be interested whats the price tag on these? I would also like to see pics even if its just of the Y pipe.

if you are really sold on a Y for the 5.5 you can just get the warpspeed, i thought about the Y until i understood the whole precat thing, i actually had a cattman y that i bought from phantomV and i sold it before i installed it, Y for the 5th gen is great, y for the 5.5 not so great but hey, better than stock i guess, get her dynoed to see the gains
