Coolant Prices

Just called the Toyota stealership here in Hartford, CT...they want $21 bucks for a gallon of the red stuff. Leaving to go get it now. Not happy.

thats not a bad price for the oem toyota antifreeze, but you really don't have to use it, you'll be fine with an aftermarket all makes/ all models light green antifreeze, about 13-14 bux.

Yeah I made a thread about it...
How long do you plan on changing it next time? As long as you change it on schedule I think aftermarket brands are good too.

We all know how much it costs from a stealership.......Just not seeing the point of this thread. Were you looking for sympathy or something?

Should we all start threads everytime we think something for our car costs more than it should????

Like the other guys said, if you dont want to pay that much go to walmart and buy some prestone. And you dont need to start another thread if you change your mind and decide to do that.

Man, I could go for a nice, rare filet mignon right about now.

Are there prizes here for the most pointless thread?

Perhaps I should create one just to announce I'm thinking about it.

How about a donation, that's much better than sympathetic words. What if I made ten more threads that you didn't like...just what could YOU do about it son? I think I'll read the forum guideline again maybe I missed something dude.

I personally couldnt do crap about it......but the mods are a different story. They tend to dislike pointless threads and lock them. If there's enough locked pointless threads, then comes the

And now that you guys mention it, a big fat 18 oz prime rib sounds fantastic right about now.....

Maybe you can read the guidelines about signature size instead.

"The maximum allowable size for a signature on maxima.org is 550 pixels wide by 325 pixels high including image and text."

Said the man with a 625 x 175 image in his sig

But seriously, AM... you really should do something about that image. Reduce the resolution. More car, less crappy driveway.

I heard that...I just spent over $2500.00 on a new motor, gearbox, parts to prep it with and hoist, stand/ tools to do the swap next week. When your stash starts getting low, simple things like coolant prices kinda gets annoying knowing you want the best for your Max even though it's stretching your limit.

I have one just laying around in the house. I would have offered it free to you, if you wanted to pay for shipping. Oh, they do not allow to mail things like that.

If you were local, I would give you. I have a Toyota Coolant, the red on, same in your picture.. And I have a brand new I think prestone, green coolant, too just sitting. Don't know what to do with them.

For sure, I would not sell it to nobody, but will offer it for free.

Sympathy for motor replacement > sympathy for coolant replacement.
