Tuning programs

I'm looking to get an ECU tuning program for my laptop. I want to be able to hook my laptop into my car so i can do all the tuning myself. instead of having to bring it to the dyno shop evry time i upgrade something. Anyone know where i can buy a program with a diagnostic wire for the 3.5l 6spd maxima

Hmm...

if you want to tune anything on your car (via laptop or otherwise), it won't be done through one diagnostic wire. The OBD2 cable is only for monitoring and obviously, diagnostics.

For "tuning" or manipulating signals coming from the ECU to adjust the air/fuel ratio and other settings to your liking from your laptop, you'd probably be looking at getting either a GReddy e-Manage (Blue or Ultimate) or the TurboXS UTEC. And these require dozens of wires to be tapped/spliced into the engine harness to tune accordingly but they do have the ability along with the software to interface with your laptop.

and you will need a wideband to read the AFR. so looking to spend from about 400 up for the emanage up to about 1k for the UTEC and a couple bills more for the wideband. Plus installation...
