didnt know blue was still being used..

everyone i know upgraded because of the blue's inconsistancy's and unreliability.

the blue has less wires, just install the wires that came with the blue skip the extra wires you don't need.

Why is the blue unreliable for NA engines? I've had mine for quite some time no with no problems. My numbers are excellent and I doubt they would get a whole lot better by spending over 1k on a UTEC. I know the performance increase at this point would not warrant the upgrade.

i wasn't suggesting a utec or anything...

but i was looking more along the lines of EMU...

I'm running an AEM EMS 1052U on my turbo s2000, but i know for a fact those stock ecu's are learning ecu's and when you get the car tuned on the EMU, it relearns itself and you lose alot of the information that you tuned.

but at the same time, it depends on your tuner and how well they tuned on part throttle and what not...

the harness i have on EMB connector 1 harness. do i really need connector 2 harness. i mostly need to tune the a/f only. if thats the case looks like i need to mess with only five to six wire only. Thnx buddy

you need 6 injector wire, 6 coil wires, power, ground, MAF TPS and a few others at least.

This is not a problem on the <03's, but the 04+'s have a built in wideband so the greddy stuff doesn't work as well.

I opted for the EMB because of price, and availability, I would like a few of the features found on the EMU but it isn't worth the extra money for me. I got a great deal on the blue, and I think my dyno numbers are pretty solid.

Warning: old thread bump!

Does anyone know what a solid yellow light at the USB connection means? The light is yellow whether I plug in my giff tech cable or not. Also, it will let me "communicate" with the unit, but I can't upload or download, it says communication error. The support tool says it is online, but when trying to download from the emanage it says communication error. Are there any dials or anything I need to change to communicate?

This computer has some 140 COMs!!). Anyway, set it to COM2 and were goin smooth now. Time for some tuning. Thanks for the help

i more meant the dials. right now im running 7-0-B and NS_HW-12 and it starts and run, but runs at 10:1 or so and wont rev up. Im pretty sure the MAF signal is F'ed cause it went into limp mode and ran great minus the 2500 limit. I took the EMB out and it runs fine, so the MAF is still good
