Turn signal and hazards no longer work

I was driving home from work one day, and while driving, suddenly noticed that my headlights and dashboard went out for a split second, and came back on with the air bag light, which dissapeared a few seconds later. After this incident, my turn signals and hazards no longer work.

They sometimes work for short periods of time (10 minutes or so) when I change it's fuse in the relay beneath the steering wheel or if I play with the turn signal bulbs a bit (remove them/change them around) but other than that, they don't work.

What steps should I take to get them working again? Anything would be helpful .. this can be potentially very dangerous on the road.

Just FYI, both circuits also flow through the hazard button. Neither will work if the button is not plugged in/loose/faulty.

Hey guys I just bought a 00 Max and have the same problem. What exactly needs to be done once I get to the relay? (I know absolutely nothing about this car.....yet)

Please help me out. As mentioned above, this is very dangerous.

I should also note that I checked all the fuses and everything checked out. so...what exactly is the relay and what did you do to fix it? I'm scared to take stuff apart...like I said I dont know much about the car yet. Literally just purchased today.

Thanks again for any help.

Take it back to where you bought it and have them fix it? Isn't there some rule about selling cars that won't pass inspection?

Looks like you need a multi-function switch.

Relay replacement (as long as it's the same part) is a plug and play.

check your bulbs, you might have mixed up the 1156 and 1157 bulbs.
