Good ones would be the Kenwood, Panasonic, Pioneer. They make all in one units with TV tuner, DVD/CD in one, plus all the rest of the goodies...

I've had my setup for almost 3 yrs now and i can't complain about mine. I have the Alpine CVA-1005 (monitor), DVA-5200 (dvd player...the new model is a 5205 i think), CDA-1214 (12 disc changer). I really haven't seen anything i would trade it for other then the new Pioneer that is silver. I would stay will either Alpine or Pioneer. There are 2 things that i don't like about the Kenwoods and that is that it is not fully motorized (unless they just changed it), last i heard you have to flip it up manually and the fact that it is touch screen. Yeah touch screen is nice but when it comes time for a movie do u really want finger prints all over the screen????

i currently ahve the alpine.. it's plain and simple.. that's the look i like.. but for the price i'de recomend a pioneer unless you want to go with navigation.. the only reason why i went with alpine was because of it's killer dvd rom navigation... i also have the cva-1005, with the 12disc changer, TV tuner with built in switcher. alpine is great. but it's hype was built up from it's past.. now dont' get me wrong alpine is still good.. but what happened was as alpines quality stayed about the same, it's competitors slowly rose up alongside alpine then suprassed them... so other brands are in my opinion a little better when it comes to sound quality. but alpine is still not a bad brand to go with, i just wouldn't make it my #1 recomendation. if silver is what you want, alpine does offer the cva1005 version in silver.. it's the european edition that can be special ordered. i think it's cva-1005e.. well look to pay around 900 for the alpine cva 1005.. and 700 for the dvd player.. that' snot retail, but that's the going price for them when you know how to bargain. (note* i said around) If alpine is what you want i recomend the cva 1003.. the display is alot cooler, and when the screen is hidden there is still a status display window that i would apreciate. it's price is cheaper than the older cva 1005, but it's worth it.. the only draw back is there's only 4channels rca pre outs, but don't worry you can purchase a accesory for that deck to make it 6ch pre out. Best of all the cva-1003 is satelite radio ready.. Oh.. by the way the cva 1005 has been replaced with the cva 1006. they are virtually identical except it just has a few funky display changes, the digital "art" spectrum analyzer. they got that fearture off of the flagship model, the iva-c800. anyways good luck shopping
