MAF sensor Replacement
MAF sensor Replacement
I have seen alot of different comeents about replacing a MAF sensor I would like to know exactly what is needed when I replace it. I have come to the conclussion the this is the problem with my car bcause it is running like S***. Some days it runs smooth until I get 50 or 60 but don't give it gas because when it shifts down to a lower gear to pass a car it does NOTHING! It seems as if it is stalling or hung up in the gear. I let off the gas some and it will shift to the next gear. The final straw was when I put 2 gallons of 100 octane fuel in the car and it did not make a difference. So I have come to the ORG for assistance. I rolling up on 150k and I want to get my baby running full speed before it gets cold. Any assistance and pointers given will be appreciated.
- Is there any part number or engine number needed to order the correct MAF?
- Should I reset the ECU or take it to the dealer to have that done.
- Find Dave B. on the ORG and order the part from him.(He comes highly recommended)
I just replaced mine a couple of months ago. Got it from Dave Burnett, he has correct part # and good price.
I took mine to stealership for programing and was told there was no up date for ECM, but an O2 sensor problem. They wanted $500 to replace sensor.
I done it for $100 and 30 minutes time.
