Audio has suddenly upped the suck factor

Hi All,

I have a 2000 SE with Bose audio system. All of a sudden yesterday afternoon I noticed bass dropped off considerably (if not all, can't tell) and the mids are almost gone. So mostly high's and some bass for audio. The morning ride was great, now it sounds horrid. Is it due to the cooler temps now, or its just giving out on me and I should prepare for the inevitable. Up untill now the sound has been more than decent.

Is there anything I can quickly check?
