weird accelerator surging problem?

weird accelerator surging problem?
like the title says there is a problem with my acceleration. it is only when the car is cold early in the morning (or whenever i choose to start the car). it is worse with the a/c on. and it only happens for about 1-2 minutes.
well ok, when i start the car i wait about 1 minute for allitle warm up and then i reverse fine no surging. i put it in first (5mt) and accelerate to about 2500 rpm and shift and its fine. then in 2nd i start accelerating and to about 2000-2100 rpm the car starts jerking while accelerating the higher the rpm the harder it jerks. its as if i accelerate to a high rpm in 1st and let go of the accelerater and the hit the gas and repeat. almost like compression jerk (i think i just made that up)

i was thinking maf. i cleaned it and it still does the same thing. any ideas?
