Well after my incident last week from a missing tranny fill plug (6th gen 6spd trans) There's a very loud sound coming from the tranny at idle before u let in the clutch like a churning. I was told by 2 people that it was the pilot bearing and that it could go at anytime. I only had the tranny 7 months. Should i get a rebuild or find another one? I just bought this one and i dont want to lose the HLSD. in other words, which would be the cheapest way out?

 

Get an auto...or CVT.

 

i would swap in a 3.0 before i ever thought of doing that

as long as u have a 6spd to go with it haha iduno if i wanna go through a re build. i might do the sentra ser tranny. found 5 of them. one for $450 Grade A condition

 

Just change the pilot bearing.

 

iduno how much these shops around here are gonna charge me. and people are telling me its like a rebuild. that scares me because i dont have $1200+ to be dishing out. i could get another tranny
