I know that in the 5.5 gen both the front window are auto. If I swap the button cluster from the 5th to 5.5th gen will both my windows be auto?

Thanks!

I have an 03 the master switch on the driver side has both front windows as auto n passenger side master switch is auto also. If ya passenger side switch is auto they both should still b auto.

if it was only that easy but its not.

wiring is different and so ar the window motors.

anything can be done with enough work but it is NOT a plu-n-play kind of thing

edit: motors are the same

Do you have any proof to that statement?

Because my understanding the auto mechanism is in the actual switch itself. ?

yeah, look int the fsm in the electrical schematics for the front doors, everything goes throught the body control module and IIRC, the 2000-2001 are different from 2002-2003

I had a 2000 maxima parts car and a 2003 parts car, trust me they're different.

By the way, I also worked on the 3rd gen altimas where some of them had both front windows to be auto and others only the driver front one, i also wanted to swap them but realized its not that simple.

Like i said before, it can be done, just a bit more work than just swapping out the switches.

the master switch from 00 will not fit in an 03, and vice versa, unless you swap the panels as well. Or start cutting the panel to make them fit

the fsms don't work right now so i can't double check, but i'll check on monday at work at exactly what is involved in a maxima to get this to work.
