removing 20ae body kit

I work at a used car dealership, we just got in a 20ae Maxima with the full body kit. Was just wondering how hard it would be to remove the body kit from the car?

Thank you.
TJ

The front lip is held on by 5(?) bolts and a lot of heavy duty double sided tapes, which you have to remove the underbody splash guards to get access to the bolts. The rear is very simple. They are held on by a few screws and double-sided tapes also, but you dont have to remove anything to get to the bolts. I'm not exactly sure about the sides.

do i just rip it off or do i have to heat it up? Is it a 10mm bolt or just like a screwdriver?

i don't know if its the same as the 02-03 side skirts but......here is how they come off give it a look
there are bolts under neath the car near the pinch weld.... also there are bolts near the mudguards if it has them...and there is some double sided tape near the tops...and lastly there are pins on the inside of the side skirts that snap into holes in the body of the car.....just take your time and be careful

Shouldn't. You just need to heat up the adhesive to get it off it large or one piece. Hopefully over the 8 or so years its been deteriorated and will come off easily.

Haha no the car has about 200k on it my boss is going to sell it at the auction, If it was a retail car he wouldnt let me. So just heat gun the whole thing then pry it off? or just slowly peel it off?

I'd be pretty pissed if my used AE didn't have a $1000+ body kit on it..

Front is 9 screws total. 3 on each part of the ae front lip. As for the rest idk. you SHOULD heat it up if you notice it's not coming off easily after you took all the screws off. I didn't have to heat it up on a buddys ae. neither front or rear. You can use a EXTREMELY thin razor also if you don't wanna use a heat gun just be extremely careful.
sides and rear should be similar.
gl and be easy because it's a extremely rare and pretty expensive kit.

Trust me the car at work is a pos seats are all ripped up, bumpers hanging on by 1 screw, dents all around and has 200k on it. But the front lip looks like its molded on there cause its a smooth transition

The lip is cracked all the way through so I would have to mold it back together.

You actually have to drill holes in the front bumper to bolt them on, which means you need to mold and cover the holes on the current AE when you take the front lip off. I think I saw pictures of someone selling the AE sideskirts and I dont remember seeing or couldn't really see any bolts/taps on them. So I -think- the sideskirts are just taped on.

I have used heat gun/hair dryer and dental floss when debading or fishing line not sure would work on this application.

I saw the same type car in VA a real POS shame too car was abused and was a trade in a Nissan dealer. They wouldnt give me the same luxury. Gonna be tough if ur boss makes you take off all the tape too so its not visibly apparent something is missing when he goes to sell it. Good Luck

Well I asked my boss about the car again and they said that if no one will buy the car within a week he will send it to the junk yard. So if that's going to happen i will just take a sawzal and cut all the kit off.
