I get a weird knocking, clicking sound when going over bumps. It only happens when I'm accelerating over bumps, or when I shift hard from 1st to 2nd. Does not happen when I drive normal over bumps. It sounds like its coming from the front right wheel area?

Best Describe Noise: The noise that it makes when you start wheel-hopping?

-02 Maxima 6spd. w/HLSD
-Hotshot Headers/Stock Cat/Cattman Cat-Back

Anyone have any idea? I was thinking maybe motor mounts, sway bar bushings, or end links? I really do not want to hear it may be axles. Also could it be exhaust hitting frame (I doubt this one though)

Could be strut mounts up top.

 

im dealing with the same issue... and so far nothing..... replaced almost everything... if you do a search you will see it is a well discussed issue here.. but no real answer on how to fix

 

same thing happens to my max too. But mines started when i put my lowering springs on.

Have you dropped yours recently?

 

Its a Maxima, if it doesnt clunk theres something wrong.

 

im going to take everything off this weekend and put everythng back together.. and see what happens.....
