OEM Foglight kit

So I found this kit on CourtesyParts.com

http://www.courtesyparts.com/nissan-...-p-227458.html

I am thinking about getting it but I keep seeing Dave B's name around.

Does he carry this kit or is CourtesyParts my best bet?

TIA

Dave Burnette (sp?) works at South Point Nissan, he's the go-to guy for .Orgers who need parts, he gives members a discount. He got me every exhaust gasket from header to muffler for like $47. Awesome man to deal with.

866-941-2048 <- call that number.

Courtesy Parts is a great resource to find parts. But definitely call Dave B to actually purchase the stuff. Great guy to work with, great prices.

Just an FYI:

you can find the fog light switch setup on ebay for about $30-$40

This one is a bit more...but I like the 02-03 stalk better then the cheap looking one in the 00-01....IIRC it should fit.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03...Q5fAccessories

Then buy a set of aftermarket fogs on ebay for $20 and get a fuse from an auto parts store. So you end up spending half as much as that kit. But still give DaveB a call he might be able to get you the stalk for cheaper.

^ I was trying to find all the parts to see if I could spend less but had no luck. That switch you linked to is for an 02-03, mines 01.

I know your an 01...but I Said the 02-03 should work for you, they didn't change the connector or the screw holes between the 2 years. This is a chance to upgrade to a nicer stalk IMO

Ah, didn't even read that part.

That short stubby switch would look weird next to the other skinny switch.

May go look around a junkyard for one

I have both switches,

FYI The fogs alone from Dave B is in the 180 Dollar range. I just called him a few days ago to ask him about it.

Shoot me a pm if you want to swap both the signal stalk with fogs and the wiper switch with cruise.

So unless I find the parts at a junkyard, my best bet is CourtesyParts.

Also, thanks but no thanks knight. I kinda like the thinner switches more than the short, stubby ones.

I did the conversion myself a few months ago. And I think courtesy was a bit cheaper back then. I was thinking to go with the 02-03 stalks too, but I was informed they are different. So I didn't go with it. I have to say that the stalk it comes with has a much better feel to it than the stock one I replaced. But if 02 stalks do indeed fit 01...... then i'm going to

Why do you like the shorter ones better?

the shorter ones have a better tactile feedback which I like. But I also agree that it wouldn't look good with 01's steering column. 02 and up, their steering columns are designed with that in mind so everything blends very nicely.

Why would I buy a kit that includes wiring and an aftermarket switch when I can make it look stock with the kit I linked to?

+1 on the kit. Highly recommend getting an OEM kit simply because it's much easier and looks neater too after installation. And the stalk that the kit comes with works with the auto light too.
