***Cost to replace front CV axles

I am having trouble with my front 2 cv axles and I think i need them replaced. About how much would the parts cost? I guess the labor depends on the place....

I have a 2001 nissan maxima AE...

Autozone carries them pretty cheap but I've heard quite some bad things about their quality. A lot of people would recommend you to Raxle but they are at least $150 or so per side. I got quoted for $60 labor per side...

i had to replace mine a few months back. I got them from Big A in indiana for around 70 a piece.

Get them at NAPA, cost of part and do it yourself and save a bundle, i just did mine 3 weeks ago.

if you a handy with the grease crap do it yourself and save $$$, if not depends where you live and the mechanic, hopefully you know one that is not going to you.

Had this quoted recently. Parts $70 from Advance Auto, $100 labor. $170 per side.

The mechanic I used before he retired did mine on my Accord for $45 a side. Took him maybe 30 minutes per side. That was a while back though, but figure on about an hour of labor for both axles.

Part should be $65, Labor about $100. Not that hard to do yourself. Replace the Transaxle seals at the same time.
