Replaced fuel pump assembly ... now car wont start?
I went through the entire process of removing the fuel pump fuse, allowing the fuel pump to drain any excess fuel, removed and replaced the old fuel pump.
From there I replaced the fuel pump fuse, nd the gas guage is working (was at empty before, now its slightly above a quarter tank) .. but the car won't start. Everytime I switch the ignition there's a machine gun type of sound where my headlights flicker. I just replaced the battery and starter about 6 months ago so I don't think that's the problem (plus they were working a week ago when the fuel pump went)
Where do I go from here? Any replies would be great. Thanks!

i would start with checking the volts the battery is putting out.. then test the starter....then check the fuse... then go from there and dive back into the fuel pump....
heres the thing.. when you pull the fuse and crank the pressure out of the line.. it will take a while for it to start back up.. and will have to turn over quite a bit to get FP up.. maybe if you left the keys on with out even noticing you drained some of the battery and it doesnt have enough juice to kick it over... try getting a jump maybe?..
also.. when it starts the first time with no FP.. it will take a quite a few cranks and might stumble to build FP....
did you use a write up? like housecors?
EDIT: i was right but late.. good to know its all fixed
