How hard is it to remove the headlight assembly?

I searched, wasn't able to find much and the links to the how to sticky are messed up.

So how hard is it to remove the headlight assembly? Can somebody give me the cliffnotes instructions?

Do I have to remove the bumper? Thanks.

Its very straightforward. Just unplug the harnesses and I think it's 2bolts per light and just pop them out.

Nope, like he said, two 10mm bolts up top, Not sure about the 5th gen but I'm talking about the 5.5 Gen. You can take off the 3 plastic push in tabs from the top of the grille to make the bumper loose a bit.

5th gen and 5.5 are held by two bolts and a clip on the outer edge by the signal lights.

Undo the two bolts and pull hard from the outer edge. takes 30 seconds if you have a 10mm socket in hand

Nope we have an extra bolt or two that are very difficult to remove behind the headlight. There are a few people on the org who know how to do it and it is supposedly against forum policy to widespread this info because they are there to prevent HID theft. Info can be bad for the general max population if in the wrong hands. I dont remember who told me how its done but i have their wisdom saved on my computer if i decide to do headlight mods. IM4deets
