Agreed. For that money, why not purchase Teins? I understand you (OP) got a special deal; but for the rest of us, $1250 isn't exactly a competitive game-changer.

20 adjustments on the C8, vs. 16 adjustments on the Super Streets. I can't see why that matters.

But they're pretty. No denying that.

also, are they rebuildable like the teins, or when a damper blows, to you have to replace it?

You're not feeling the Teins anymore, Hustler? Somewhere along the way, I got the impression that was something you wanted.

Teins use OEM strut mounts, so you cannot adjust camber. The C8sports use pillowball mounts so you should be able to do camber adjustment.

patiently awaits review...

Worked for me with performance I don't see wat could be so bad... check the mod sig, and I got my jic coilovers for $400... like second to none said they are all the same just tweeked to manufacture likings... no yikes here... I probebly pay a quarter of most for the same output with my max (performance, Looks, and maintainance) yes I'm price driven

Naw bro, check the record.. now teins are great coilovers n when I first looked at 5th gen coilovers (years ago) that's wat I wanted cause that's all I knew but after trying other coilover setups and researching, I don't think teins is for me... my dream coilover is JIC FLT-TAR the VIP setup, I just can't find myself dishing out that much for some coilovers, not to mention I always wanted to try the NEX GT even before perkman guinea pigged em, buy it just never happen...I will like every laste coilover kit made for our cars (that's just me) however tein and k-sport are far from my mind... tein-too much money to not go as low, k-sport- I already tried those.. next up NEX GT or these

With height, dampening and camber adjustment, would that mean the C8sports are designed for track & street, whereas the Teins are primarily a drag & steet coilover?

Thanks, Moncef. I think I just learned something about suspensions. Man, I love this forum.

So the C8's come with pillowball mounts; is that what enables for camber adjustment on the coilover, or is it simply a design requirement when the coilover supports camber adjustment?

You can get pillowball mounts for the Teins. From what I've read, it's not a comfortable experience, the word "pillow" notwithstanding.

Learn? On the .Org?

But really, on the cheaper coilovers pillowball mounts are notorious for making noise (sort of a metal on metal, ball peen hammer type noise) which is why a lot of people like the Tein SS regardless of the lack of camber adjustment. Smooth and reasonably quiet. The JIC-magic coils have rubber bushings to keep the noise down yet still allow you to adjust camber for track use.

Pillowball mounts are able to support camber adjustment. What this means is it's a big marketing push for pillowball mounts for guys who are in this business. You're also supposed to get more steering/handling feedback as well, and you're correct about pillowballs (on nearly any coilover) to not be as comfortable.

Let's hope the C8sport coilovers don't have any noise issues here.

Very nice explanation.

Just keep paying forward, and it'll come back to you.

And now this product page makes sense to me: http://www.tein.com/products/upper_mount.html

...at which point $1250 starts to look a lot more reasonable. Teins with pillowball mounts would cost considerably more.

Front spring rates on C8 A33 application are 142% of Tein SS, yet rear spring rates are identical.

So....did Tein really get it that wrong?
Or is it something else....

Hmmm.
