Intake Spacer Question

Ok well ive been thinking of getting the NWP intake spacers but im a little confused just spent about an hour doing some research and still am a bit confused. It shifts the intake 1/2 inch vertical and then it moves the elbow 1/4 inch back and then there is another spacer on the TB. my question is can i still use the stock intake piping? I would like to keep it stock looking so i dont want to upgrade intake piping.

With the OEM intake apparatus, and the engine cover on, your engine will look completely stock. Only a mechanic would notice the spacers, and even then only if he's got reason to look. Knight is right about the accordion tubing in the factory intake pieces. Look around here for pictures and you'll see, it's not hard to find. Or take your OEM intake tubing apart and see how it all works.

As with any aftermarket modification, you should continue researching this until you feel comfortable.

It works no problem, best bang for your buck other than headers.

For the sake of conversation the picture above shows the parts of the original air box minus the MAF tube and sensor ... the accordion flex rubber tube is extremely flexible so the minor repositioning of the stock air box is handle very nicely.

See, now that's a priceless photo for somebody researching this stuff. Well done, Jim.

All it's missing is the throttle body and the MAF housing.

I know what the rubber hosed looked like since i did my plugs this week. i just didnt know that it would have been able to move 1/2 an inch this way 1/4 inch that way then a 1/4 inch somewhere else and still stay somewhat aligned with the airbox and other factory stuff. I really appreciate the help tho. Time to shell out the cash for the spacers.

Has anyone noticed a significant difference after installing the spacers?
Is it worth the money to do or is it no big deal??

Seriously? You're asking subjective questions that can only be answered with research or experience.

Most people here will say they are well worth the money.
