KYB GR2 - Stock springs not sitting properly...

I am installing KYB GR2's on my 2002 Max SE, and I am having a problem with the stock springs sitting on the KYB Perch. It is causing the spring to be tilted which in turn causes me to not be able to put the hat on. Shown is the passenger side 334367 - KYB Part #. Is this how it is suppose to look and I have to just manually balance to the spring so I can get the isolater on, thanks for any tips. See pics below.

Decided to just keep going on this strut, this is how it looks finished, does this look ok to you guys or is that spring suppose to sit flush on that perch. If so, I think I have to get a different spring as there is no way i can get the stock spring to sit flush on the strut bottom.

thats not right. you prolly have a wrong strut. its suppose to sit flush on the bottom of the strut. the spring shouldnt be the problem seeing how its stock springs. id try a different strut first before swapping springs.

They are 334336 & 334337, aren't those the correct parts for a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE. I am puzzled?

by the way i bought from suspensionmax.com via ebay. They have the wrong part listed on their website and auction so be careful if you decide to purchase from them, trying to get the RMA from them now...what a waste of time, and glad i did not try to drive around with the wrong parts for obvious safety issues...

what i would do is go to any major retail store and buy the right one then put the one you bought in the box and say that they boxed the wrong one. i know its not right but it beats having to try to get the ebay dealer to send you the correct one and then shipping the incorrect one back and all that. this is why i try not to by big things like this off ebay rather spend the extra 20-30 bucks and stay local where i can exchange it rather quickly.

I thought of that, but I will see what the ebay seller has to say, he was suppose to call me back today, but didnt... I will keep on riding them for one more day then evaluate my other options.

Damn that bites....whenever you can always check the proper part numbers from the part manufacturers (KYB in this case).
