Question about ABS codes
hey guys, I tried helping out a friend with his ABS system but we are kind of stuck now. I ran my scanner on we got the code for the ABS module itself. So we checked all fuses and relays and found nothing wrong with them. So we swapped out the ABS module. But the code is still there. Is the code supposed to clear itself or do we need a consult to clear it. I tried following the instructions in the FSM by grounding out one of the OBD2 pins, but all that did was blow a couple fuses. The FSM says to ground out pin #8, but they show you pin number ( in the manual) Had to go online to figure out where pin number 8 was. Anyone do this successfully?

Yes, but if there was a fault and the fault is repaired you have to erase the code. Page 49 of the BR section of the FSM.
