FSTB & Warranty

I'm taking my 2001 Max in for service this weekend - I want to know if I should take off my Front Strut Tower Brace beforehand (in case it violates the warranty provisions).
Thanks!
ukyo

It doesn't matter what the dealership tries to do. By law, they cannot void your warranty for aftermarket parts and not honor a warranty claim unless they can prove that an aftermarket part has caused the problem in the first place.

So if a windshield wiper motor fails, they can't not honor your warranty claim because of your FSTB because an FSTB has nothing to do with a windshield wiper motor. Unfortunately, Nissan has been known to be a real d!ck about these things and they just make trouble for you, but I don't think I'd worry about an FSTB just for service.

The Nissan dealer I use sells and installs FSTB's and most of Stillens catalog. I don't think warranty will be an issue. My dealer seeing the FSTB would probably try to sell you a Rear Sway Bar so that the would profit from the install labor

I doubt anyone would care about the FSTB...

Mr. Green: who is your dealer?

I have taken my car in to get work done (brake and auto tranny TSB, combined 3-4 times) with the RSB and FTSB and they haven't even mentioned it to me...
