I am getting my tint done next week and am looking for pictures for comparison. Here in CT i believe the legal limit is 32% Anyone with pictures of there tint that would like to show me what it looks like would be awesome.

Where can I buy tint that is good enough for tail lights and side markers locally? Target wally mart? Autozone? I don't need much!

Well you can buy the vht nightshade spray from any auto parts store, and spray them as dark as you like, just make sure if you go this route you clear coat when you finish.

Do yourself a favor, and go for a set of overlays instead. They look soo much cleaner, and go on in 5 minutes. The pic in my sig is my tails with ebay overlays (maxima specific). Dont worry though, that pic is a little deciving, as they don't really look that dark.

Very nice. They are durable with the weather? As you are from the island aswell? Got any more pics during the daytime and maybe with the brake light applied?

Appreciate it. Definitely looks like ill go that route. And maybe ill check out that paint for the side markers.

Backglass / Rear windows = 65% or 80%

Front windows = 35% (which means your 3% off the legal chart)

Check that link for your state requirements. Normally, you can go darker on the back windows than the front.

You have your number's backwards. The lower the %, the darker the tint (the number is the percentage of light transmitting through the tint). Side and rear windows from the factory are roughly 70%.

i live in PA where the tint laws are subject to interpretation. i think i'm going with 35% all the way around but i am worried that it won't be dark enough for me. i have a frost interior and i know that will effect how it looks. Question: I would like to get it done within the next month or so, however winter is in full swing here in central pa .... should i wait to have my installer do it when the temperature warms up??? anyone had experience with having tint applied during the winter.

I'd like to see some daytime / real light pics of the ebay overlays.. I've been trying to get some bluebat overlays for months.. but I think hes out of the scene now.. contemplating doing an overlay on the 5.5 tails or getting the 5th gen SE tails..

Getting your windshield tinted is just asking to be pulled over. Not to mention the liability if you have an accident. The insurance company would have a field day with you.
