help please

So i installed a Oil catch can that i purchased from home depot. the "huskey filter". on the bottom of the filter there is a little breather that sucks in air and you can hear it almost whistling. im getting a P0507 code "high idle code" and my RPMS are sitting at 1000 when its warmed up. should i plug the hole? is it supposed to be there? does any one have a oil catch can with a breather on it? thanks for the help in advance i appreciate it

You will also want to clear the code you are getting, then plug the vac leak and hopefully all should be good to go.
