How To Replace Air Filter On 2000 Maxima SE
Hello everyone, I am thinking about getting a K & N Air Filter for my 2000 Maxima SE. These are great, as they have to be replaced only every 50,000 miles and improve mpg and hp slightly. So.. where is the stock air filter? How do I remove it? Pictures would be very helpful
Thanks
Thanks
so you have a modded mustang but you can't install an air filter?
Its on the driver's side front of the engine bay, its the big black box, there are two tab that pop up and you slide the it forward. From there pull the filter out and put a new one in.
If you gonna put body kits on your maxima, you may want to consider an air intake to atleast have some performance.

You're better off just taking it to the dealer. The air filter is a difficult job, and it might be too complicated for a first-timer. It costs a bit more, but your dad can pay for it.

Trust me.... Rear Window Louvers will not make it look badass
And I know how to replace a HU with a new one.
And don't tell me to learn about my car, I know so much about my car.

filling up with gas is more difficult, takes more time and has more steps than replacing your air filter
I just told you I needed to make sure that I knew how to do it on the Maxima.
nah man air filter is a lot harder to install. it's not usually a component that wears out, so nissan didn't bother making it easy to access. im pretty sure u have to jack up the car and undo the front motor mount to be able to pop that sucka out of there. i went to the dealer and they charged me $150 in labor to replace it. but now i wont need to replace it again for 100,000 miles. I got this bright blue JDM one from ebay. it says it adds 10 horsepower. i can definitely feel the difference!
