Quick cel o2sim/sensor quesiton

Apparently I got lucky and ordered and received one of the few last o2 sims from o2sim.com. Here's my question..Bank 2 sensor 2, the one running up the stock Y pipe facing the car was cut in the header instal. I already installed the o2 sim, Is all I need now that o2 sensor and plug and play? The Actual head is missing, however the part that clips into the o2 sensor housing is fine, wire runs down, just no o2 sensor... Or do I have to also do the "10ohm" Thing I heard?

You will have to either re-attach the sensor to the wire or use (2) 10 ohm, 10 watt ceramic resistors in series for each sensor.

The reason for leaving the secondaries plugged in when using a simulator is because they have a heater built into them that the ECU monitors. You can either use the sensor's heater circuit, or use the resistors to simulate the heater circuit.

So I will have to buy the o2 sensor, plug it in(to the housing not the bung on the y pipe) and then also get the 2 (10 ohm resistor )? There a write up on how to do it or does it just plug in?

Also does radio shack carry them?

No, you do one or the other.

You can either buy a new o2 and plug it in to the harness (not the bung) OR you can simulate the o2 by using the resistors. And I actually got mine at Radioshack, so they should be there.

Any write up on the instal? Might seem noob but I haven't seen much talk about it so idk if it's plug and play or needs a big or cutting for the instal like the o2 sim which was a piece of cake.. Also if the resistors are a couple bucks why would someone buy the sensor?

Someone would buy the sensor because there isn't really any write up or conclusive information regarding the heater resistor mod, and it is easier to just plug a sensor in.

I don't know of any write up for doing the heater resistors, but they basically go in between the positive and negative of the heater circuit.

If you need any help with it, let me know. I don't remember the colors of the wires or anything as I did this over a year ago. Sorry.

Just make sure that if you do use the resistors, you place them in an appropriate location; they get hot.

And I do remember reading a thread on here that had some information and a picture, but the picture was wrong, so be careful. I discovered this by testing all of the wires with my multimeter.

Hey, I was hoping that i could get some help and pointers from you. I have codes:

Bank 1
Front sensor 1
P0031 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 Heater Low Voltage (Bank 1)
P0051 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 Heater High Voltage (Bank 1)

Bank 1
Rear sensor 2
P0037 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Heater Low Voltage (Bank 1)
P0057 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Heater High Voltage (Bank 1)

My question is do you think i can do the heater resistor mod to get rid of these codes? If so can you give me all info to wire up these resistors.

By the way i have Obx headers but i do not have any other codes. im not sure if once i get rid of these codes the others will appear. your help would be appreciated greatly!

My first choice I went with was just to buy an o2 sim and splice that straight in. It took me 5 minutes to splice it in and it was running fine. However it recently died on me. Now i'm going to have the secondary o2 bungs welded on and use anti foulers so that it looks stock. I'm recently talking about this in another thread a few up. Thanks for searching, you can pm me personally or post a thread if this information wasn't what you were looking for.
