Where can I buy a Fuel filter

I need a Fuel filter already. I've been looking for one but it seems I can't find one. Suggestions?

Call Dave B at 888-254-6060, price with shipping is around $25 and this includes the O ring.

Edit: Forgot to mention, tell him you are on the org, maxima forums.

Brand? Nissan OE man, Dave B works at a Nissan Dealer in the parts department. Call, ask, pay and wait. I ordered one myself.

If you go to your local dealership, don't call it a "filter" or you'll end up in a confusing argument about the car having a lifetime filter blah blah blah. It can be a very frustrating experience; was for me. Use the phrase "fuel strainer".

And here's a link to probably the best write-up on replacement:

Just ordered one this past weekend, part # 16400-2y505 for about $10 dollars, and yes, they call it a fuel strainer.

Yeah the guy at the dealer argued telling me you NEVER have to change them. And when I did, my car has NEVER run better. Do it. Well worth the fuel $ and time.

I have 173K on mine BTW

good call on the "fuel strainer"! i can picture the argument between a customer and the parts guy; one person arguing that its a fuel filter and the parts guy playing dumb saying: "i don't know what you're talking about man, the fuel filter is in your tank and its a lifetime filter"

Dunno if that have a "Dash Distributors" or a "Greg's Distributors" where you live, but they have/can get virtually anything OEM

Dave B is by far the best because you talk to an actual Nissan Dealer parts guy, get the right part and the best advice over the phone. Unless you are in a hurry and want the part same day.

That's like asking, "Do tires really work?"

What an odd post.
