My new maxima problems. please help

I just picked up an 01 Maxima SE 5sp. the car has 128k miles and seems to have some typical maxima issues. i have done most of the maintanance stuff and now i'm on to more in-depth problems.

1-Seems i have the dreaded trans whine and seal leak. i Replaced the seals and it still leaks. i have noticed that the axle has play inside the transmission. I believe this means that i need differential carrier bearing and the trans needs to come apart. Is there a company that makes a stock rebuild kit for the trans? i plan on doing it myself.

2-I have a po430 code with a check engine light. i have looked on here and some say i need an O2 sensor, i'm just not sure which one?

3-Also the ABS light has come on. i have not been able to have the code checked but does anyone know what this usually means?

thanks for all of your help!

you can get a low mileage trans from Car-parts.com, and IIRC the 5th gen used the same trans as the 95-99 so you can go get yourself a LSD trans and just buy new axles... i just bought a trans for my 5.5 for $400 freighted... 79K miles on it

ABS code usually means that one of the sensors has died. When this happens the whole ABS system shuts down so you basically don't have ABS right now. Get the code checked to see which sensor it is and replace it.

For P0430, you don't change the O2 sensor. You fix the problem by replacing the pre-cat for the appropriate bank. My memory tells me this would be the bank on the radiator side. You can also "eliminate" the problem. Look it up more on "CEL eliminator" on Google.

You use the same O2 sensor extension that I had alluded in my reply
