When pressing lock on remote I have no beeping

Hi, so I thought that these cars came like this OEM where only the amber lights flash and that way you know your car locked. I just saw Jowo9 thread about his LED (http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...s-diy-how.html) and in his video his car made a beeping when he locked it. I was wondering is it my car or is there a way to make this happen? It's a little of a PITA to look at your lights in order to know your car is locked.

Yep. There's a how-to in your car's manual. It's pretty simple. My car was set up the same way when I first bought it. Took me about thirty seconds to change it over to the "Single Flash + Chirp" option. I'd explain how, but I did it almost a year and half ago.

that was super easy LOL all you need to do is hold the lock/unlock button on the key fob for 2 secs and your car will honk.

Thanks. I took my honk off when I lock it. I got tired of it.

I actually had the same question but I found out by accident before I had a chance to research it. I was staring at the back of my remote for some reason and I accidentally found the instructions.
