My list:
'87 Saab 900s auto - Terribly slow 3 gears....(moved on to my brother)
'91 Saab 900s 5sp - Terribly quick but not nearly as quick as max
traded in for max - 3 months later I tried to buy it back.. the guy that bought it wouldn't sell it
'2000 Max SE 5sp - Very fun car.. I could almost enjoy the saab more in traffic.. the revs were higher and it was a more nimble car

Wife's list:
'87 Mercedes 190E - Neat car we'll have it forever
'2000 Pathfinder LE - suv.. that's all

1985 Ford Escort - beat the snot of it then sold to a pizza chain for deliveries where it died a month later.

1980 Saab 900 Turbo 4spd - I loved this car. No one makes a better turbo then Saab.

1987 Maxima SE 5spd - Ticket-me Maroon color. So fast, yet so many tickets. Traded it in with 233K miles

1995 Altima GXE Auto - My first "prudent" car. Hated not having a manual.

2000 Maxima SE 5spd loaded - Drove over 1000 miles to get it and worth every mile.

1982 Ford Faimont - first car, ugly, rusted out, 15 mpg with a tailwind, downhill....but she never left me walkin'
1990 Ford Probe GT 5 spd - after 3 trannys, retired at 90K
1996 Maxima SE 5 spd - first max, un-godly fast, no CD, no leather
1997 Maxima SE 5 spd - upgraded to Bose, leather and heated seats
1999 VW Jetta GLS VR6 5 spd - fun to drive, questionable reliability, lousy warranty
2000 Maxima SE 5 spd (current ride)- 18K and flawless

Wife's
1986 Chevy Sprint 5 spd - 50+ mpg was great on college budget
1989 Ford Tempo 5 spd - worst car we've owned, hands down..burned a qt oil every 500 miles (normal, according to Ford), new struts at 20K, AC crapped out at 25K, this list could go on for ever...
1992 Honda Accord EX (auto) - after the Tempo, wife says she'll never drive another domestic car again
1995 Nissan Altima 5 spd - our first of 6 Nissans
1997 Pathfinder SE(auto) - reliable, but slow
2000 Infiniti QX-4 - posh, reliable, but still really slow (currently in the garage)
2002 Acura TL Type S - (wife's daily driver) luxurious and fast, but build quality isn't up to Honda or Nissan standards

1986 Toyota MR2 (lots of work done, but still slow)
1991 Ford Escort GT (beat the crap out of it)
1992 Ford Mustang GT Conv.(Stolen)
1993 Ford Mustang Cobra (Black)
1993 Ford Mustang Cobra (Red, bought new in 96 w/2 miles on it)
1994 Ford Ranger Splash (daily driver while cobra was in garage)
1997 Ford F-150 4x4 (bought after I sold the cobra)
2000 Ford Mustang GT (traded for max)
2000 Nissan Maxima SE

All 5 spds except the Trucks. I have been a Ford guy as you can tell for years now, and I am glad to say I enjoy the Nissan! It doesn't have the b@lls of a V8, but it drives well.

I've had a "few" cars myself...got my license in November of 1990. In order, they were -

1976 Chevy Monte Carlo (1990-91)
1987 Dodge Shadow Turbo (1991)
1985 Chevy Monte Carlo SS (1991-93)
1991 Honda Accord coupe (1994-96)
1996 Olds Cutlass Coupe (1996-98)
1985 Monte Carlo SS (1997 - same one as above, still own it!)
1996 Chevy Impala SS (1998-2001)
1985 Monte Carlo SS (another one, bought and sold for a profit)
2000 Chrysler Sebring Convertible (2001) - just got totalled
2000 Nissan Maxima SE (picking it up this week - woohoo!)

I'll be lurking on this board for a while, trying to learn some things about the car. The Max will be my daily driver, and the Monte will go back into the garage for more surgery.

If you guys want to check out the SS, just click on BowtiePower.com and see what I've done to it.

1980 Honda Civic Hatchback- (bought it from my sister for a $1)
1986 Honda Civic Hatchback DX - (bought it from my mom)
1993 Honda Civic Hatchback DX - first 5 spd - bought it brand new!(still have this car has 80,000 miles on it and use it as a second car)

Kind of seeing a pattern here!

Was seriously looking at the Honda Accord - or one of the Acura's - but the boyfriend took me to look at the Maxima and I feel in love with it. Got a 2001 SE in August!

Yeah. Lots of days go by now and I go WTF was I thinking?. Oh yeah thought I'd by a newer model(97-98) with less miles. But that DAMM movie came out and guys are selling 94s with 95k miles on them and getting $20-23k for them. 97-98s with low miles are going for like $33-36k; a little too steep for me right now. That C5 vette is looking better and better. Maybe a 97-99. We'll see Still looking for a beater right now.
