Outer TRE's

Outer TRE's
Front end has been feeling loose as of late and after reading a few posts here, I think I have it narrowed down to the outer TRE's. Bought the MOOG's at Advance Auto and decided to tackle this myself. I've replaced TRE's before, not on this car, but on my Altima and HB, so no biggie. After fighting to remove my wheel (stripped lug and stud compliments of Discount Tire) I removed the castle nut and the TRE popped right out. I fought with this TRE itself from 10 am til 2:30 pm. Can somebody tell me what the HELL I am doing wrong? I can't tell if the jam nut is seperate or if its part of the TRE. Any tricks to removing this? I'm at my wits end with this POS car, it's by far the worst vehicle I ever owned.

do you mean you removed the castle nut off the TRE itself then it popped out of the spindle?
if i am reading this correctly you have to leave the TRE in the spindle and loosen the locknut on the inner tie rod end 1st.
I've always done it that way and have never had any problems. If you want to can soak it in PB Blaster 1st .

i just did this 2 weeks ago w/o problems.
i 1st soak the locknut in PB Blaster, then i took an adjustable wrench and cracked loose the locknut , then removed the castle nut , then took a BFH ( big fcking hammer ) and wacked the shat out of the spindle where the TRE goes in, and it popped right out.
then just count the # of turns when removing the old TRE, and put a little bit of anti-seize on the threads of the inner TRE.
