o2 sim Randomly not working?

Well I was running an o2 sim for about 2 months now. I was missing the o2 sensor (white, bank 2 sensor 2) and I finally got one a few days ago. yes, I was running the o2 sim w.o 1 o2 sensor fully functioning properly but I just figured i'd go ahead and get it wired up. 3 days ago I installed the new o2 sensor, plug and play. And today I noticed the o2 sim is no longer blinking the green light that shows it's working? I had the wires where the o2 sensor was connected into the o2's stripped and wrapped in electrical tape however I removed the electrical tape yesterday and re-applied it. Is there anyway the connection between the o2 sim and the o2 wiring could have been "salvaged" by anyway if there was electrical tape residue left over from the heat of the engine bay? Should I re-strip another area on the o2 wiring and freshly strip another off the o2 sim and re-instal it? Or have people had problems with this thing randomly crapping out on them?

Thanks.

Ahmad.

Mine has been blinking as if working fine for the last 1.5 years, but it tends to still throw secondary 02 codes occasionally when I use cruise control and sometimes just randomly.

I just re-wired them in different areas and still... O2 is plugged up. the o2 sensor I have was cut during the header instal and it's basically threaded the wires back on and used connectors. Do they HAVE to be soldered to read 100%? The wires are pretty thick..
I'm not due for inspection for another 3-4 months but I just figured i'd get this outta the way ahead of time.

Even if they do have to be wired I'm still lost on why it suddenly stopped blinking? Really hopping someone has been through this and it just randomly will turn back on. From what I hear o2sim has been out of stock on these for quite some time..

Do you get a code? I'm pretty sure my light has never blinked but the sim is working fine

That's the thing, I was running the o2 sim before I installed the new fully functioning o2 sensor, than the blinking went away and i'm still throwing the same code for bank 2 sensor 2. All o2 related.

Can you open your hood and take a look? Unless it's a different model it should be blinking. My main question is would it just simply stop working? Has anyone ever read anything about this happening? Or is it likely a loose wire? I've already re-checked all the wires..

Edit: Yes I have a code, main reason i'm trying to fix it lol.

Same here. I get a 1147 and 1167 code if I cruise at 55 for a while.

It's completely random and sometimes I wont get a code for 2k miles.

I'll get them read tomorrow, I had a friend run them. They were all related to o2's though. I'm hopping my lights just "bad". I wasn't sure if that was possible. I'm going to hope it goes away pretty soon.
