Reverse problem (slush/grind sound)

when i go into reverse and give it gas there is a slight slush sound? it isnt to noticible on flat ground but it gets really bad when i turn the wheel all the way and/or im on a hill or even trying to go over a bump. the car feels like its gona stall unless i give it alot of gas and ride the clutch and then once im in the gear and im moving its fine no grinding or slipping. the problem doesnt happen in 1st or any other gears.

Its basically getting the car to move in reverse from a dead stop. sorry if im not clear but its really hard to describe mabey i can post a video if it can capture all the sounds. It is a 2003 6 speed Maxima. I never had this problem before. Ive had the car for about a year and i do have the Free STS mod for quite a while now if that matters? any ideas of what it can be.
