Someone used my car!!!

Check out this guy!! Couldn't believe it at 1st. Didn't hear about this marketing campaign during Auto Tech last board meeting.
I want one of those grills at least. Been looking for a mesh style for a while and have never found one I liked.

Going to have some fun with this one..

To be continued...

Listing has been removed, next time screen shot (Win Vista or 7 use snipping tool to click and drag to make a screen shot) then upload.

How is that engine cover project going?

Edit: Grr at jeff for beating my post but at least I asked a question

Do you have a screenshot or cache link since it's been removed?

Just do an ALT + Prnt Scrn then paste into Paint and save the image as a jpg.

So I take it theft is the newest highest form of flattery?

Actually I just checked eBay and there's a couple of ads up there with your car...
Funny thing is the grill looks pretty good, IMO. I'd try to get a free one off them at the very least.

Highly doubt, A- that the seller would even care or believe that the car is his, and B- give away anthing free.....

Take all pics down and put water marks on them?

I find it somewhat funny about the whole thing, but on the other hand I wouldnt want my car all over ebay.

I call that respect because your car is pretty sweet and it's image of sporty-ness stands out, IMO. That's why they chose your car.
And on the other hand, the car they probably had for model wasn't nice enough to be shown on the ebay page so they got a better looking one.

That is one sweet deal, so if I put on that grill my maxima's hood will change colors? What a bargain at that price.

Being serious if you park your car on public streets, the public is allowed to take photos of your car. Same goes for posting your car pictures online. All expectations of privacy went out the window.

Where it gets tricky is when the person taking the picture intends to make money, then forms have to be signed and all that jazz.

I was just searching ebay, ran across the hijacked image and emailed rroder before finding this thread. Yeah, the sale is still availble.

I think it'd be cool to see my car used, but on two conditions:

1) I was asked/contacted.
2) They didn't watermark it as THEIRS. That's kind of irritating, IMO

I recognize that picture from a thread posted by the OP on here. creepy thing is that you can see the OPs kid sitting in the car seat in the picture on the Ebay add.

On the plus side, free advertising for Auto Tech Performance OP

If someone uses photos of you or your property in a commercial venture to make money, they have to have permission of the owner. This is being used by building owners against the movie & tv companies. If you look at skyline shots in movies, you will see that buildings are missing. The World Trade Towers were missing from the New York skyline shots (including some postcards) before 9/11 happened.

I've been dialing the main number and no one answers. I wonder if the company is legit.

Well these forums are public. I guess anybody can copy and save pics and re-post elsewhere. Is it legal?
