What sensor is THIS?? 2000 maxima

Just poking around under the hood of a 00 maxima i bought last week to start my gab mod...as i did on my 03.

I notice an extra sensor i dont recall on my 2003.
right behind the snorkel, before the filter housing there is a sensor stuck down into the black tubing. (long before the maf)
trying to wiggle it out..i pulled on plug too hard and next i know i got two loose wires...i just removed snorkel for now and went for a spin.

..now the service engine light is on..
got dark, didnt try wiring it back up.
what is this sensor?

Thanks in advance

It's the Absolute Pressure Sensor. Used to determine ambient air pressure. Relocated adjacent to the ECM on '01 and later cars.

Just tie-wrap it close to where it was and not close to anything hot.

pretty sure that's the intake air temp sensor not the pressure sensor.

You can see it on page EC-21 of the FSM

If you get your codes pulled it should be a p0110

Yup, my mistake, it is the IAT sensor that is installed in the grommet in the inlet duct......I saw "removed snorkel", and assumed it was the APS. When you fix the harness connector the yellow/green wire goes to terminal 1 of the sensor, black to terminal 2, obviously.

yes you can leave it hanging, preferable someplace close to the battery so it will get an accurate temperature of the air coming into the engine bay.

first image is of another sensor that was rested in the snorkel itself (using it as a mount) i relocated it lower in a #10 hole. loose wire is visible in here

second image is the actual sensor thats the issue

so i got the top gray half separate from the bottom black pointy part..and in the black part are two metal pins the wire must pass through to contact...
thinking about getting rid of gray part and tapping straight into black part...as i cant see through gray to know if its pushed in enough or not???
makes sense?
