HELP NEEDED- Strange issues after changing the radiator
Hello all-
I have a 2001 Anniv. Maxima SE. I changed the radiator on Saturday. The front of the car was a little lower than the rear as I am on a hill and I did not jack up the front of the car (not good I suppose in hindsight- air bubbles?). Anyway, I installed everything fine- reconnected the two electric fans but now I am getting a very strange sounds.
When do I hear them...
- When I turn the key to ACC &
- When it's started andI rev the engine &
- about 1 second after I turn it off
The Sound
- A series of 5-8 pumping sounds - very similar to when an automatic soap dispenser dispenses soap- some type of electic signal seems to be activating a soleniod that is trying to pump something. These 5-8 steady sounds about 1/2 second apart are followed by a short gurgling noise. Once they happened twice e.g. the series repeated itself.
Where is the noise...
It is specifically coming from the back right part of the engine. It is near the firewall (about 10" in front of it). It is near the rear intake. E.g. if you followed the tube from the air filter all the way to where it goes into the intake- it is under there.
***What soleniods or parts are in this location? It definitly has an electronic component to it. What parts could make this pumping sound?
If there is air in the system- HOW do I get it out? I let it run with the cap open and topped it off- again it was angled downhill.
To be clear, the sound I am hearing is not simply air in the system- it is some type of part that might be sensing something. It is clearly sensing something and activating some type of pump. This is not a typical sound. It is audible from inside the car with the engine on and the door closed. It never happened in 9 years- right after installing the radiator it is happening.
Also, please confirm that the Banjo bolt coming out to the transmission is the OUT which connects to the LONGER transmission cooler hose.
THANKS!!!

I hv a similar sound but can be heard only outside the car with the hood open.
Hear it only when car is just turned off.
I suspect the electronic motor mount. Radiator may not have to do anything.
Do you have a video or recording of the sound?
