Front passenger side door "sticks"

Hey...

My front passenger side door "sticks". Opening and closing the door has a LOT more resistance than any of the other doors. I've tried looking at it compared to the front driver side door, but I don't see anything different. It feels like something is binding, but it must be internal.

Any suggestions? Let me know if you need any other info.

Disconnect the small arm that is between the upper and lower hinge and see if it closes freely. If not it's probably one of the hinges.

Are those pretty easy to disconnect? If not, it might have to wait a week or so. We've got cold weather moving in over the weekend.

the door starts dragging, try pulling it up and keeping it there for a while.

Try lifting it and it releases easier, it is the sag.

It's not the sag. I tried lifting up on the door and it didn't close any easier than it did before.

I'll mess around with the hinges and stuff next weekend.

Use white lithium grease, best for hinges and slides.

Thanks. From the small amount of time that I have been messing with it, it seems like it is the piece in the middle part of the door (not the 2 main hinges). I'm guessing some of the white lithium grease would help that move better.

I finally got around to using the white lithium grease yesterday with only minimal improvement.

I guess I'll try and see again if it is sagging.

Any other suggestions?

So, I tried the fix for door sag (installed washers on the lower hinge). Now it seems to close worse than before. I was out of time so I'll have to take 'em back out later.

Any other ideas?

When lubricating the hinges and arm between them did you clean them first?

How would you go about cleaning those?

Spray some carb or intake cleaner around the hinge joints and the bracket arm. Wipe off any excess and try not to overspray those areas too much as it can damage your clear coat.

Let them dry before applying white lithium grease.
